Event Description

The Many Moods of Jazz with the Vancouver Community College Jazz Orchestra and "Pre-Bop" Jazz Combo

Talented students from the VCC Music program present an evening of jazz ranging from the classic sounds of New Orleans and swing by the "Pre-Bop" Jazz Combo, to exciting big band music by the VCC Jazz Orchestra.

Both groups will play compositions made famous by Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton and Count Basie along with new arrangements by director Alan Matheson that feature VCC's many outstanding student instrumentalists and vocalists.

This will be a fun evening that will satisfy any jazz enthusiast!
