Hatchling is having a little trouble containing herself this time 'round because she has scored some smokin'-hot singer-songwriter and storyteller talent for her third evening at Ocean Island.
If you've come to one of these nights before, you'll already know it's a great time - an intimate, friendly environment in which to enjoy the sweet serenades of emerging local talent. Please join us for this special show, so you can someday say "I saw her when".

Hatchling is a classical and jazz trained musician who took up the piano at age six and has been writing songs ever since. Her style is a sweet and smoky blend of jazz, blues, soul, folk, trip-hop and dance.
Fans have compared her voice to the likes of Norah Jones, and Tracey Thorn of Everything But The Girl. Her poetic lyrics range from gorgeous and complex metaphor to heartbreaking simplicity.
Hatchling wears no armour over her heart or her eyes when she gives her raw and revealing performances. Her deepest pleasure is to connect to the hidden emotions of her audience. Come, listen, and be moved.

Sarah Elizabeth has been singing songs since she was knee-high to a grasshopper, as her grandmother would say. After years of choral groups and musical theatre, she picked up a guitar in university and began crafting her own tunes, as well as wandering across the globe from Thailand to Halifax to Africa and Northern BC. Her songs also drift… from the humorous to the heart-breaking, and reflect her search for adventure and home. Sometimes there's a ukulele thrown into the mix too. And, on occasion, a glockenspiel.
