The Victoria Immigrant and Refugee Centre Society presents internationally acclaimed singer Nelly Furtado, who will headline the PHOENIX: Syrian Refugee Fundraising Concert, featuring 54 40’s Neil Osborne and Latin Grammy winner Alex Cuba. Nelly Furtado is not only known for chart-topping music, but also for significant acts of benevolence supporting the development of young musicians, as well as assisting the plight of refugees.
The Victoria Symphony will be supporting Nelly Furtado’s performance with truly original orchestral renditions by American composer Sean O’Loughlin. Adding to the star factor and definitely the musical texture of the night will be the legendary Neil Osborne, front-man of Canadian super-group, 54 40. Alex Cuba, accompanied by the Victoria Symphony will follow as the evening’s second performer. Alex’s sugarcane-sweet melodies, pop-soul hooks and powerful guitar riffs, defy conventional stereotypes of Latin music.
For physical events that happen at a specific time. For example a concert, or dance performance. If there are multiple shows, you can still duplicate your event to cover them all.
