Event Description
Warmland Calligraphers of the Cowichan Valley began in April, 1995, after a small group of fifteen people had taken the “Beginner’s Italic” class at the Community Centre in Duncan. This small group, now called a Guild, has grown to 80 members who are interested in learning and enjoying the art of calligraphy.
The Warmland Calligraphy Guild arranges workshops and classes for its members, with Canadian and international teachers. The Guild is involved in holding exhibitions and lectures, and hosted the 27th International Calligraphy Conference, held in 2007, at Shawnigan Lake School.
Warmland Calligraphers welcome all new members. Meetings are advertised on the Warmland website:
