Extend a warm invitation to
Resistance Rising Choir's 2nd annual winter concert
♥ Talkin'bout the Heart Things ♥
on the unceded territory of the Lekwungen peoples
Winter is a time to spiral into the heart, home and hearth. A season to come together to share our unique gifts and to bring a little more generosity, care and kindness into the world. Talkin'bout the Heart Things will feature music, poetry and talks that shine a light on some very important issues that can be 'hard' to talk about but are also close to the 'heart'.
Please join us in holding sacred space to bring to light topics of a sensitive nature such as indigenous child apprehension policies, the Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women of Canada, sexualized violence and the destruction of our environment through ongoing colonial violence. This will be a very warm-hearted event full of care and possibility for greater healing, deeper relationship and levity through music, poetry and community. As I recently read, "Things are not getting worse, they are getting uncovered".
We have an incredible line-up of performers that is going to pull on those heart strings till you're all singing along.
