Event Description

Originally from Ralls, Texas, Marcus Mosely grew up immersed in the music and culture of the Gospel tradition. In 2016, after having lived in Canada for over 20 years, he was inducted into the B.C. Entertainment Hall of Fame. Most recently (2023,) Marcus was awarded The Mitchell Award (Province of BC Achievement) recognizing an individual, who through their work, demonstrates an unwavering commitment to elevating people around them.

Marcus served as artistic director of the Marcus Mosely Chorale from 2011 to 2022. Today, Marcus focuses on his solo career and directing the Marcus Mosely Ensemble.

The Marcus Mosely Ensemble was created to perform with Marcus in smaller venue performances, such as festivals and special events. The Ensemble specializes in bringing a full gospel sound with a small, experienced, and versatile group. The Ensemble is more than just gospel ... it 's jazz, R&B, pop, rock, folk and blues too!
