Ilaria Pilar Patassini blends and combines Italian songwriting, jazz, world music, classical music, poetry and entertainment. With seven records published (Terra senza Terra 2023; Italia Folksongs, 2023; Ilaria y el mar, 2021; Luna in Ariete, 2019; L’amore è dove vivo, 2015; Sartoria italiana fuori catalogo, 2011; Femminile Singolare, 2007), she’s one of the most esteemed Italian singers and songwriters. Along with her activity as a songwriter has established herself as a sought-after performing artist. Notable projects and collaborations as interpreter include personalities like British music director and producer Geoff Westley (on the “De Andrè Sinfonico”) Peppe Servillo, the bandoneonist Daniele di Bonaventura and Roberto Tarenzi, one of the best Italian jazz pianist.
A graduate in Classical Singing and Vocal Chamber Music, she teaches “Performance of Italian and international songwriting” at the Accademia di Alta Formazione “Officina Pasolini” in Rome. A fervent devout of the sea and the islands, she spends her time between Rome, Alghero (Sardinia) and airport gates. Since 2014 she has been touring around Canada with the guitarist and composer Michael Occhipinti and his “Sicilian Jazz Project” as well as her own repertoire. She is back at Canada and will present the songs of her last album “Terra senza Terra” and others past songs.
