The musical world of the Baroque was dominated by castrati, the vocal giants of opera. This unique concert will explore the rich legacy of their stunning repertoire, which ranged from Monteverdi in the early Baroque well into Mozart’s time. Included in the programme are bravura arias, duets & trios, and scenes of love and war.

Appearing for the first time in Vancouver is the phenomenal young male sopranist Michael Maniaci, who not only has the unique vocal range but also the virtuosity to tackle these works. He will be joined by the radiant soprano Suzie LeBlanc from Montréal, and Vancouver’s rising star, Tyler Duncan. The ensemble of instrumentalists from Montréal & Vancouver will be directed from the keyboard by the dynamic Alexander Weimann.
